EclipseCon Europe took place on October 21st to 24th. This was my second time attending and speaking at this event. Aside from the amazing projects that are active within the Eclipse Foundation, this year’s edition contained a long anticipated present: the release of Jakarta EE 8.
Two colleagues Ivo Woltring Talip Ozkeles and myself provided a hands-on workshop where attendees coded Jakarta EE 8 with it’s microservices-enabling cousin: Eclipse MicroProfile.
